"Thread of Blue" Klezmer Orchestra
In the mid-1990's, the rabbi and a few temple members started to toss about the idea of a Temple klezmer orchestra. Once the word got out into the congregation, people that hadn't played their instruments in 10-25 years became interested. Rehearsals began and so did the excitement. The band was named "Thread of Blue". The klezmer music was enjoyed at our temple and throughout the Jewish community.
Every year the orchestra invites new members. Because everyone cannot make it to all of the performances, it is important to have at least double on all instruments. Anyone interested should email the Director, Eric Rangell, or call the Temple Beth El office.
